Loved-up couples reveal dream wedding destinations ... Loved-up couples reveal dream wedding destinations

An increasing number of loved-up men want to get married in the happiest place in the world – Disneyland, according to a new survey.

The poll of top overseas wedding destinations revealed Disneyland Paris was the seventh most popular place to tie the knot.

The survey by Halifax showed that the Caribbean is the top destination for those wanting to get hitched abroad, followed by Maui in Hawaii and the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Las Vegas is also still proving popular for those wanting to get married. Peaches Geldof is the latest celebrity to get married in the popular gambling destination.

The survey of 2,000 people found that Gretna Green is also proving popular, while the French Riviera and Napa Valley are also among the top destinations.

Vicky Watson, a spokeswoman for Halifax Travel Insurance, said: "Destination weddings are increasing in popularity as the likes of Coleen and Wayne and now Peaches and her husband opt for such a thing. The choice of location both of these celebrity couples made featured in our research proving that a wedding abroad is something many of us think and dream about.

"Las Vegas has a huge kitsch appeal as a wedding venue - and the thought of getting married in a 24-hour drive thru chapel by an Elvis Presley look-alike clearly appeals to some people. With recent pictures of wild child Peaches Geldof getting married there, the location is likely to increase in popularity amongst party loving partners wanting to tie the knot."
